SDSL is designed for use by demanding businesses that send as much data as they receive. The service provides synchronous connectivity, ideal for business sending large emails or needing to support remote access to their servers.
Many organisations are using IP technology to reduce costs and improve productivity. To reap the benefits of this technology the right kind of connection is vital. Voice over IP and Cloud computing for example, often require higher upload speeds than ADSL Broadband can provide. Our SDSL not only provides higher upload speeds but it is also uncontended, which means your bandwidth is not shared and will not suffer from "slow-downs" during busy periods.
Bandwidth: Up to 2Mbps symmetrical
- Value for money – SDSL provides a low cost option for small businesses or a low cost backup option to other connections.
- Consistent speeds – Our service is uncontended, so with Easynet SDSL there is no “busy period” when users experience slower speeds – something which can harm the performance of your IP services and hence productivity. Once installed your connection speed will not vary.
- Managed service – Our SDSL is a managed service, so we manage every element of the service. We provide a business grade router pre-configured to work with your connection and we also provide and manage the telephone connection your broadband will run over.
- Quality customer service – Should there every be a problem with your service you can be confident of quick resolution. Our business support centre is available 24/7 staffed with experienced engineers.
How it works
SDSL (Synchronous Digital Subscriber Line) is a different technology to the asynchronous (ADSL) technology that standard broadband is based on, in that it provides the same download speeds as upload. We have our own equipment in local telephone exchanges connected to our own network and can manage your connection end to end. Our network is dedicated to business use and we ensure there is no contention at any point. This allows us to guarantee that the speed of your connection will not vary once installed. In the exchanges where we do not have our own equipment we will connect using BT.
SDSL is just one of a portfolio of connectivity services available. Whatever the requirements of your business, DV02 can help you make sure you have the right Internet access product.
